1980s

Donkey Kong(1981)

Donkey Kong Jr.(1983)

After Mario saved his girlfriend, Donkey Kong's son, Donkey Kong Jr. Tried to save him, Mario tried to make him drown, But Mario failed, and got fired for trying to kill a monkey, and his girlfriend broke up with him.

Super Mario Bros(1985)

Since Mario was getting too much hate in Brooklyn, he moves away with to the Mushroom Kingdom, but when Mario finds out the princess of the kingdom, Mario decides to save the princess, this is also where Mario got his hate for toad, after Mario saved Peach, but Bowser is pissed off, a lot

Super Mario Bros 2(1988)

That night, Mario had a dream that him, and his friends have to save everyone from the evil wart king, after 'killing' the Wart King, Mario wakes up and realized it's a dream.

90s

Super Mario Bros 3(1990)

Mario, the princess, and even Bowser and all his minions, does a play, basically, Bowser thought he won't be hated as much if he does the play, but he still got hated.

Super Mario World(1991)

Bowser once again captured Peach, and to try to make it harder for Mario, Bowser goes to Dinosaur Island, When Mario went to Dinosaur Island, He is reunited with his friend Yoshi, and says Bowser also captures his eggs, So Mario and Yoshi together tries to stop Bowser. After saving Bowser and Yoshi's eggs, they all go on vacation!

Super Mario 64(1996)

After vacation, Mario is called by a producer to make a movie about Mario trying to save Peach, in her own castle and to collect stars, and Bowser once again thinks it's a good idea, but Bowser still gets hate.

2000s

Super Mario Sunshine(2002)

Mario, Peach, and some toads once again go on vacation, but when the town is getting polluted by Shadow Mario, Mario got be their janitor, and he even gets a talking water gun! It's than revealed that Shadow Mario is Bowser's Son, Bowser Junior, and all Bowser wants is his son to think his mom is Peach, which is pretty nice, Junior later finds out that Peach is not his mom once Bowser is defeated.

New Super Mario Bros(2006)

When Mario (and maybe Luigi) is invited by Peach to have cake, Bowser and Bowser Junior captures Peach, so Mario (and maybe Luigi) would have to save her, and as always, Mario defeats both Bowser and Junior.

Super Mario Galaxy(2007)

When Mario is invited to Star Festival, Bowser, in a gigantic form ruins the festival, but than Rosalina helps Mario stop Bowser, and save the stars, after stopping Bowser, Rosalina reads you the story of her mom.

2010s

Super Mario Galaxy 2(2010)

Rosalina reads a story of Mario once he left, same concept, but Mario has a larger journey, and more power ups

Super Mario 3D Land(2011)

After the princess is captured again, Mario has to save the princess, wow how original!

Super Mario 3D World(2013)

Yoshi Island Flash

Instead of capturing the princess, Bowser captures these little fairys, So Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach all together save the fairys, and Bowser has a lot of new plans such as cloning himself.
