- Aug 08, 2010 Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island is the best platformer Nintendo released until New Super Mario Brothers Wii. It’s not even close. Some people love Mario 64. It’s alright. The camera alone disqualifies it (and arguably any other 3D attempt). I haven’t played much of Galaxy so I’m not super qualified to comment.

While controlling Yoshi, the cute species of dinosaur living upon Yoshi's Island, you struggle to deliver an infant Mario to his brother at Bowser's castle using a relay system of Yoshi.
